It takes time and work to unclutter the outside noise. To ground yourself, and find stillness, we recommend focusing your quite attention to any object around you. Can be a candle, or a soft light. You can download a candle app from your phone.
2-3 minutes daily of quietness and stillness, focusing on the candle only, letting your mind bring thoughts and imagine them thoughts as clouds passing by. Bringing yourself back to the candle (object).
Be kind to yourself, it is not easy at first, but you will find at some point the benefits of it.
Most important is...keep trying !
Try to read daily , preferably in the morning. A 5-10 minute read will do. Faith based audience may prefer devotionals, others may prefer mindfulness texts.
Anything that can give your mind a positive outlook for the day.
Then unleash your soul in movement by writing whatever comes to you!
The goal is to write for 3-5 minutes daily, what ever you want to write about. Journaling has been used as a coping mechanism and can be very therapeutical.
